Design for NEXT LAZIO underway

From April 12 to 14 Accademia Italiana’s Rome campus will participate in the first edition of Design For Next Lazio.
In the aula magna of the Architecture department at Valle Giulia, the best in the field will meet around three discussion tables with design schools, university professors, students and design professionals. 19 industries, 6 design schools, 12 designers, 14 university professors and more than 100 students come together under the heading: “co-design”. The first day is dedicated to the presentation of projects of a “smart-city” (integration of products, systems and technology implemented with the clouding for social innovation and territorial participation). On the afternoon of April 13 a round-table discussion dedicated to “Cultural Heritage” (conservation, promotion and use of cultural heritage also with the assistance of digital and communication instruments). Friday “Industry 4.0” will have its turn (innovation as a strategy for the modernization of production systems and the creation of new entrepreneurial opportunities). Design For Next Lazio is part of a wider international conference “EAD12 – Design for Next” promoted by the university La Sapienza of Rome, an important event for the scientific community facing social, technological and industrial changes in the future.
