The Accademia Italiana offers, as Study abroad in Italy program, academic semesters and years of study to US and Canadian students, as well as to anyone who wishes to attend specialized Study abroad in Italy courses covering important aspect of Italian culture, taught in English language.

As these Study abroad programs are taught directly in English language, previous knowledge of Italian language is not necessary. These study abroad courses can be attended togeher with the regular academic courses in design offered by the Accademia Italiana (please see the catalog for detailed information concerning these courses) for which a basic level of Italian language is necessary.

This prerequisite may be fulfilled by attending the Italian language course offered by the Italian language department. Each Academic semester begins with an orientation period of one week in which the student is introduced to the city of Florence, the study programs and the facilities of the Accademia Italiana.
