The Florence design school launches in October a program of meetings and conferences on Graphic Design and Visual Communication, Photography and New Media, Window Display Design, Interior Design and Product Design.


MEETING WITH SILVIO COCCO

Silvio Cocco is a graphic designer with wide experience in the various fields of graphics and visual communication.

He was the creative director for G.F.T. (Gruppo Finanziario Tessile).

He was part of the creative teams for brand names such as Christian Dior, Luis Ferraut, NewMan, Martin Guy, Ungaro and Valentino.

He has worked in the field of food packaging for important international brands such as Alemagna, Bacardi and others and in the cosmetics line for Clinique, Eau Dissey, I Coloniali and others.

He has also worked in fashion photography and advertising (Ferdinando Scianna in Milano and Pitti Uomo in Florence).

He has also collaborated with: Comune di Torino, Fiat, Banca Sanpaolo.

He has collaborated on various projects with the company Ferrero both as a creative director and as a free-lance designer.

During the past few years, he has activated numerous profitable didactical activities with the Accademia Italiana.

The encounter with the Graphic Designer Silvio Cocco will be held
on Monday, October 18th 2010 at 2.30pm in the Loggia Temple Leader (4th floor)

 

LECTURE BY SIMONE MICHELI

He founded the architectural studio Simone Micheli in 1990, focusing on architecture, design, store fitting and research.

In 2003, he founded the Design Company "Simone Micheli Architectural Hero", which was responsible for the realization of many Public Administrative projects, numerous prestigious private residential projects as well as the design of objects for leading design companies.

His works are published in the most important Italian and international magazines and he is regarded as an innovative international designer.

He has exhibited his works at the Biennale di Venezia (architectural sector).

He is responsible for events management (for example, ‘contract') and for some of the most important international design exhibitions in the field.

The encounter with the architect Simone Micheli will be held on Thursday October 21st at 3.00pm in the Loggia Temple Leader (4th floor).
