Housing in Florence and Rome

Housing

HousingThe Accademia Italiana’s schools in Italy offer a free housing referral service to students who would like assistance obtaining apartment housing while studying abroad in Florence or Rome with the Accademia. Students requesting this service will be placed in a double-room in a lovely, fully-furnished apartment within walking distance of the Accademia Italiana’s school in Florence’s historical center or within an easy commute to her Rome school and within easy access to the many historical sites of both of these amazing cities. Student apartments are located in buildings which are home to Italians, allowing for a lively exchange of culture as well as the opportunity for you to immerse yourself in the language so that you may live life the Italian way.

Students may request to share an apartment with Italians, an international mix or with other Americans. Each apartment varies slightly in size and amenities. The apartment owners will be able to provide you with all of these details.

Once you have decided to study abroad in Italy and your enrolment in an Accademia Italiana program is confirmed, a member of our student services staff will provide you with your apartment address and contact information for an English-speaking apartment owner, at which point you will begin to make arrangements for your arrival. Students will sign the lease and make all monthly payments directly to the landlord.

The Accademia Italiana has long-term relationships with the landlords, most of whom have been leasing exclusively to Accademia students for years. Accademia Italiana staff inspect the conditions of all apartment prior to the start of each term and are available to facilitate communication between students and apartment owners throughout the term. Please note that the Accademia does not, however, handle any payments related to housing.

More information about the housing process will be provided upon acceptance.
