Summer Courses in Rome: Drawing and Painting

The summer courses in Drawing and Painting include a variety of art classes which may be attended for 40 hours monthly (standard course) or for 80 hours monthly (intensive course) in the months of June, July and August.

Students work in a fully equipped, comfortable and well sized art studio and get one-to-one tuition from the teachers, who impart the fundamentals of drawing and painting techniques but at the same time encourage each student to develop a personal style.

The syllabus of the Drawing and Painting course offers a offrire un percorso organico, oltre a un'esperienza significativa e completa. Inoltre, trattandosi di un corso estivo, la disciplina viene affrontata in maniera concisa.

The main subjects of study are:

- life drawing, nude drawing;

- mixed media;

- painting techniques;

- the theory and history of art.

Seminars and guided visits to museums and exhibits play a major role in these summer courses. Students are also invited to exhibit their works and take part in creative events.

Living and working in Rome provides a unique opportunity to study and find inspiration in the masterpieces of the past, and the program offered by the Accademia Italiana international design school is geared to make the most of this heritage, while also enabling the students to experience the contemporary art scene.
