On April 13 from 10am to 4pm the Accademia Italiana (Fashion Design School in Italy) will open its doors to prospective students.

This course, which will cover 100 lesson hours, is a specialization course, a summer "mini-master" dedicated to a subject that fascinates young designers and offers many opportunities for practical applications.
For this reason the course is open to designers, architects, and students currently attending design schools. Lessons will be held by Prof. Daniele Bedini, expert in Space Design, and in architecture in extreme environments, frequent collaborator on projects with NASA and with the European Space Agency.
Students will have the opportunity to work on projects of interior design for space habitats, from spaceships to space hotels.
The design of functional elements that support human life in space will also be covered, from the kitchen area to food design, from the sleeping area to baggage to the bathroom to space suits, from lighting to utensils.
From this kind of advanced research the "know-how" may be transferred to the application for commercial products designer for normal daily life, giving added value. This kind of industrial application will be covered in the second part of the course.
From design for outer space we may arrive at innovation for product design for planet earth.
Note: in order to allow those students who desire to do so to attend both Space Design and Yacht Design the time schedules will be compatible.
