On April 13 from 10am to 4pm the Accademia Italiana (Fashion Design School in Italy) will open its doors to prospective students.

This is a specialization course, a real mini-master offered during the summer months and aimed at designers, architects and students currently attending design programs.
The nautical industry is achieving an important place in Italy. Tuscany today is one of the most important production locations worldwide for yachts, sailboats and outboards.
This course, which includes 100 lesson hours, will provide precise information and design knowledge for those who wish to operate in this field.
The course will cover various theoretical aspects (from the historical evolution of the various kinds, ergonometrics, technology and materials) to the development of the design project (construction principles, interior design, nautical requirements, technical and 3-D representation of the design project).
During the course important themes will be discussed, including industrial design for yachts, ecological and environmental issues, resetting and restyling, restoration of historical or antique vessels and new trends in nautical design.
During the program visits will be made to shipyards to verify the notions covered.
The Accademia Italiana will award a certificate upon successful completion of this short-term specialization course.
