Three drapes are the protagonists of the workshop created by the students of the Bachelor Degree Course in Fashion Design and Graphic Design from the Florence campus, which will be exhibited from 3 to 7 May at the Rebirth Forum Roma 2025.

Florence, April 28, 2025

Accademia Italiana confirms its leading role in the artistic and social scene by participating in the Rebirth Forum Roma, key event of the IPER Festival delle Periferie, scheduled from 3 to 7 May 2025 at the Casa dell'Architettura in Rome. The Institute will be the protagonist with the exhibition of three artistic draperies made by students in an educational workshop, part of a project promoted by the sustainable fashion laboratory B.E.S.T. of Cittadellarte - Fondazione Pistoletto.

Tuesday, April 15 was the workshop that saw students of the second year of the Bachelor Degree Course in Fashion Design, led by teacher Cecilia Rinaldi, make three drapes of three different sizes using cotton and natural dyes. The students of the Bachelor Degree Course in Graphic Design, under the supervision of teacher Walter Conti, have subsequently serigraphed on fabrics three different iconic phrases.

The drapery created by young creatives of Accademia Italiana, embody the values of demopraxia and trinamica, key principles of the vision of Michelangelo Pistoletto, founder of Cittadellarte. Through sustainable materials, innovative designs and a symbolic narrative, the artefacts are the bearers of a clear message: art, fashion and academic training are concrete tools for social transformation.

The project is part of a wider initiative involving 100 organisations, divided into 10 thematic tables, to imagine and co-design a sustainable future for Rome.

The contribution of Accademia Italiana, with its vocation to education for responsible design and conscious creativity, stands out as a concrete example of how educational institutions can have a significant impact on urban and cultural regeneration processes.
