Payment and Cancellation Policy

The following is an outline of the Accademia Italiana’s payment and cancellation policy. All students will receive detailed information on payment procedures upon acceptance into the program.


The following policy is for students paying tuition and fees directly to the Accademia Italiana. Any student who will be paying study abroad costs to his/her home institution must contact his/her study abroad office regarding the home institutions’ payment policies and deadlines.

The deposit payment should be made by bank wire. All other payments may be made by cash, credit card or bank wire.


Study Abroad in Italy Students:

Upon acceptance into the Accademia Italiana, students will be invoiced for a € 1300 (approx. $1,600) non-refundable deposit* which must be paid to confirm their space at AI.

The tuition fee is due on or before the first day of class and can be paid upon arrival in Italy. The housing fee (if selected) is payable directly to the landlord and should be paid upon arrival in Italy.


Degree and Certificate Students:

Upon acceptance into the Accademia Italiana, students will be invoiced for a € 1300 (approx. $1,600) non-refundable deposit* (BA and Certificate students) or € 1600 (approx. $2,100: MA students) which must be paid to confirm enrollment in AI.

Summer Course Students:

ALL STUDENTS:

* The deposit is non-refundable after 45-days prior to the first day of class.


Any accepted student who wishes to withdraw from Accademia Italiana must submit a written notice of cancellation to the Accademia Italiana. The Accademia Italiana will consider full tuition refunds to students who withdraw from the Accademia Italiana on a case-by-case basis up to 21 days following the first day of class. Partial tuition refunds will be considered after 21 days following the first day with extenuating circumstances only.

Fees are not transferrable to other persons.
