Study abroad in Italy for U.S. University students

Accademia Italiana’s study abroad programs offer U.S. university students the unique opportunity to share their academic experience with Italian and other international students who regularly attend Accademia Italiana, where nearly 50% of the student body is Italian.

Study abroad students are welcome to take design classes and to choose among an ample selection of Liberal Arts classes that focus on Italian language, culture and art.

We offer study abroad programs in the summer, fall and spring semesters.

Over the past twenty years, Accademia Italiana has hosted students from over 200 US universities in a well-established program that includes an orientation, academic counselling, housing service and English-speaking staff always available to provide student services. The program also features overnight and day trips to some of Italy’s most culturally and artistically significant places.

Courses for study abroad students are held in English, with the exception of some laboratory-based design classes which are taught in both Italian and English. Students do not need to know Italian to study at Accademia Italiana.
