From Sketch to Runway

The fashion of the future is ethical, thanks to technology. On the occasion of the next edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo (Fortezza da Basso, 9-12 January 2024), the AI Create format, which brings together professionals and opinion leaders of artificial intelligence and creative sectors, arrives in the Accademia Italiana, Thursday, January 11 at 2.30 pm, to give rise to the comparison "From Sketch to Runway - Exploring the intersection between Artificial Intelligence, creativity, artisanal and industrial processes".

The meeting was born as an opportunity for training and debate for young talents of Accademia Italiana. Guests of the talk Rachele Didero, award-winning designer based at MIT in Boston, creator of a fashion collection that can "deceive" biometric data detection systems through a particular pattern, the digital artist Gabriele Moschin, professor in Fashion Digital Marketing, Marco Marchesi, Chief Technology Officer of The Fabricant, a leading brand in digital fashion only. Alessandro Colombo (Managing Director AD Education Italia) and Nico Abbruzzese (AI Create) moderate the round table.

From the digitally optimized sketch to a computer-aided fashion generation case study, speakers will discuss the role that technology can play in preserving the cultural craftsmanship behind fashion. Participants will learn about concepts such as artificial intelligence-assisted design, automated production techniques and on-demand production through conversations based on both cutting-edge innovation and secular technology.

AI CREATE is an initiative of Giant Cookie and The Carrot Collective that brings together professionals and thought leaders from the world of artificial intelligence and various creative sectors to discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on the future of creativity and to examine the Ethical and social implications of this rapidly changing field.
