IncontraDonna Foundation, a non-profit organization that pursues the right to health and promotes cancer prevention, organized a parade in the name of cancer patients' rights.

Rome, October 18, 2023

On the occasion of the 4th National Day of Metastatic Breast Cancer, the campaign Sono Una Donna Con Carcinoma#Metastabile (I’m a woman with #Metastable cancer), promoted by the IncontraDonna Foundation, took place again this year, and aimed at raising awareness and promoting increasingly correct and responsible information about this delicate topic.

In the Protomoteca Hall in the Campidoglio in Rome, on Friday 13 October, a debate was held on pharmacological innovation from the patients' point of view, at the end of which cancer patients and some caregivers paraded in the Campidoglio square wearing clothes made by four Roman academies. A way of celebrating the Day, by turning the spotlight on totems that displayed urgent requests to the institutions for metastatic cancer.

This is how the dresses by two former students of Accademia Italiana, Lisa Graziani and Giulia Ricci, coloured the square and enhanced the spirits of the patients who wore them, firmly believing that fashion is the bearer of values and can contribute to making our society more inclusive, supportive and just.
