The designers of tomorrow take to the catwalk at a fashion night in the centre of Rome dedicated to the schools of higher education.

It is called 'Ensemble' the fashion night dedicated to the Capital's schools of higher education. On the catwalk the garments designed by the Fashion Design students of the Rome and Florence campuses worn by the dancers of the 'Uscite di emergenza' company for an unconventional fashion show organised by the Department for Major Events, Sport, Tourism and Fashion.

Futuristic shapes, over garments, soft transformable armour suits, capable at the same time of protecting and interacting with the outside world. On the occasion of Ensemble, the fashion night dedicated to the Capital's schools of higher education, the final collections of the students of the three-year Fashion Design course of Accademia Italiana are presented in a new guise: a dance performance.

Choreographed by Davide Romeo, the dance company "Uscite di emergenza" brings to the Campidoglio stage the outfits created by Sara Mei, Tommaso Michelini, Adriana Tadic, Margherita Cini, Giada Saviozzi, students from the Florence campus, and Lara Udil, Clara Colasanti, Clizia Lanciotti, Emma Alessandrini, Ludovica Stefani, Lucrezia Santarelli, from the Rome campus. A collective performance between art and fashion, made up of clothes that represent a hymn to creativity and focus on key issues for millennials, such as environmental protection, sustainability, inclusion.

Left-over fabrics, creative upcycling, the manipulation of textile scraps, recycled padding give shape to eccentric garments, enlivened by neon colours and holographic prints that recall space scenarios. Raw fabrics, such as denim, become the basis of corsets and super-feminine dresses. Flaws are transformed into uniqueness to be enhanced. A fluid style, beyond gender boundaries and classic canons, dominates everything. Coordinating the work of the young designers are the course professors Cecilia Rinaldi, Gianluca Santangelo, Ilenia Alesse, also acting as Art Director together with Tania Alineri, who also takes care of the music for the duo performance with Filippo Temperini 'Tenp'. Producer: Eleonora Tempesta.

The location of Piazza del Campidoglio, in the center of the city of Rome, is intended to be the springboard for this project that aims to bring great fashion back to Rome, reviving the city with the great names that have made the history of Made in Italy, together with the young designers who will make its future.
