Study in Italy Florence The Accademia’s central school is located in Florence, the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance and home to numerous famous historic figures, from Leonardo da Vinci and Sandro Botticelli to Alighieri Dante and the Medici family. The city boasts some of the greatest works of art and architecture in the world and to this day, Florence’s streets are studded with artisan workshops, boutiques and ateliers of great Italian designers, making it the perfect place to study design, fashion and Italian art and Italian language and culture.

The Accademia Italiana’s Florence school is situated in an extraordinary palace built by English Nobleman Sir John Temple Leader in the historic center of Florence. The palace was recently renovated and sits on Piazza Pitti across from the famous Pitti Palace, which houses one of Florence’s largest art galleries and several museums and where, within a few steps from the main building, students study and practice their crafts in the classrooms and state-of-the-art laboratories and studio spaces.
