Florence, April 2, 2024

Inaugurated a new partnership between Accademia Italiana and Officine Gullo. Students of Interior and Product Design and Graphic Design collaborate with the Tuscan brand of handmade luxury kitchens for the creation of kitchen models, kitchen product lines and the development of promotional material for the brand. Started a new collaboration with Officine Gullo, Italian excellence in the production of luxury metal kitchens, professional cooking machines and kitchen accessories, born from the enlightened vision and passion of its founder, Carmelo Gullo.

The Florentine company, expression of artisanal savoir-faire and technological innovation, realizes its creations exclusively with noble metals such as brass, copper and steel and according to Florentine artisan traditions. The result of this approach is an aesthetic in balance between classic and contemporary.

Accademia Italiana has always been close to local artisans and in partnership with Officine Gullo rediscovers its founding values of ethics, aesthetics and reliability and affirms its mission to spread the teachings of Made in Italy with the international community and experience innovation through the craft heritage.

The protagonists of the project are the students of the Master in Product Design, Interior Design and Graphic Design, who will work in the creation of products and communication materials similar to the company.

For the Master in Product Design and Interior Design, students will work on two types of design directions. The first sees the adaptation and reinterpretation of a classic kitchen model of the brand on a new context, such as the nautical or outdoor, with the adjoining design of other spaces and furnishings of the context. The second direction involves the design of a line of products related to the kitchen world, which are stylistically similar to the brand’s kitchens and recognizable on the market for craftsmanship and quality of design and details.

Students in the first year of the Master course in Graphic Design, as part of the course of Web Design and Advertising Communication will work on two communication projects. The first sees the development of a style search and layout design for a launch campaign in the United States of America and the creation of a social editorial plan for the company’s Instagram profile. The second project concerns web design and involves the redesign of two web pages of the site of Officine Gullo with the aim of improving the user experience and finally the creation of a landing page combined with the campaign.

Students carrying out the best projects will have the unique opportunity to do an internship at Officine Gullo.
