Confronting Art at the Accademia Italiana

During the presentation of Art:21 (art in the 21st century) and of the projection of the video of the artist Judy Pfaff in the conference hall (Loggia Temple-Leader) of the Accademia Italiana in Florence a talk/meeting was held with the participation of Dr. Antonio Natali, Director of the Uffizi Gallery and of Dr. Beatrice Paolozzi Strozzi, Director of the National Museum (il Bargello).

Numerous students and faculty participated in this event, organized by Fine Arts Instructor Erin Murphy. The theme was the connection between contemporary art and the treasures conserved in the Italian museums was discussed, together with the approach to reading works of art over the ages. This event was part of the series of meetings promoted by the Accademia Italiana. during the academic year.
