Accademia Italiana students present their works

at the Center for Contemporary Culture Strozzina in Florence

Beginning in December 2011 the Center for Contemporary Culture "Strozzina" a part of the Palazzo Strozzi Foundation in Florence organized a project dedicated to American students entitled Retreat from Reality. Accademia Italiana students Megan Cline and Evelyn Staller participated in this project under the guidance of Prof. Oliviero Draghi, instructor in the Department of Art, Drawing and Painting in the course of Mixed Media.

Megan Cline was chosen for the presentation to the public, with projection of works relative to the project that were shown at the Strozzina on Thursday, April 12 at h. 18,00.
The students were asked to develop a work of art interpreting the theme "Retreat from Reality". At the end of the project the works that were judged best interpretation of the theme were chosen, among these, Megan's work.

The Strozzina web site has dedicated a page to this Project, and photos and video of the works will be published on Twitter.
