Florence, June 12, 2026 - Graphic and photography meet music at the most important rock festival in Italy

Three days of workshops, photography, graphic design and collaborative design: Firenze Rocks, one of the most important music festivals, which will take place from 12 to 14 June at the Visarno Arena in Florence, attracting thousands of fans from around the world, has chosen Accademia Italiana as its partner.

Florence, June 12, 2026

For the second consecutive year, Accademia Italiana brings its vision of contemporary creativity to the festival, transforming the event into an opportunity for design experimentation where music, design, and communication engage in dialogue through new visual and participatory languages.

Among the first outcomes of this creative collaboration is the poster selected by Firenze Rocks to represent the new brand identity of the 2026 edition. The artwork was created by Alice Blundetto, a student in Accademia Italiana’s Master’s program in Graphic Design, and interprets the festival’s imagery through a powerful visual metaphor: a flame with an eye at its center, symbolizing the passion that fuels the desire for music and ignites the collective energy of the rock audience. The project reflects Firenze Rocks’ commitment to embracing the languages and perspectives of new generations of creative talent.

The heart of the collaboration will take shape inside the Visarno Arena through three free workshops focused on experimentation, inviting the audience to become active participants through design.

June 12 – Rockin' Typo with Manuel Alvaro, art director, drummer, and lecturer in Communication Design at Accademia Italiana. An experimental typography workshop exploring modularity, unconventional tools, and creative materials to create compositions inspired by the energy and aesthetics of rock culture.

June 13 – Pimp Your Pin with Gianluca Piovesan, art director and lecturer in Web Design at Accademia Italiana. A creative workshop dedicated to designing custom pins—historic symbols of identity and belonging in punk and rock culture—through collage, illustration, lettering, and graphic experimentation.

June 14 – Wishin' Wall with Bianca Sangalli Moretti and Daniele Mariti, lecturers at Accademia Italiana. A large participatory mural that will come to life through contributions from the public, becoming a collective expression of the energy, creativity, and spirit of sharing that define Firenze Rocks.

The workshops are free of charge and reserved exclusively for festival attendees already inside the arena with a valid festival ticket. In the event of full capacity, participants may join a waiting list and be admitted if last-minute places become available.

The collaboration will also extend to the festival’s visual storytelling. Throughout the three-day event, students from Accademia Italiana’s Photography and Graphic Design programs will be present inside the Visarno Arena to create portraits, photographs, images, and content dedicated to the audience, capturing the most authentic face of Firenze Rocks: the community of people who gather each year in the Tuscan capital, united by the same passion for music. A project that transforms the festival into a unique observatory of contemporary culture, where design becomes a tool for connection, participation, and shared storytelling.
