Once again this year, Accademia Italiana reached the finals with three students, one for the Clothing section and two for the Jewellery Accessories section.

Camilla Di Cesare, for the clothing section, brings the collection "Surrealist Cards" inspired by the game of cards of Marseilles created by a group of surrealists who, fleeing Nazism, found themselves in Marseilles before managing to expatriate to America. The classic French card figures such as the knave and the king are overturned to become historical and literary characters such as Baudelaire and Freud.

Camilla Cruciani, on the other hand, presents a collection of jewellery inspired by the famous tribal tattoos. Born by African tribes with ritual, symbolic and decorative purposes, they were made to communicate the deep bond with one's community.

Cristian Imperiale, who won the prize for the Jewellery Accessories section, works on a collection inspired by the soft and geometric shapes of nature, elaborated with contemporary and diverse materials such as white plastic, silver, resin and moss, and through the use of 3D modelling.

The prize was awarded for the originality of a project that focuses on lightness, portability and the ability to combine different materials by studying wearability, and consists of communication actions and the opportunity to participate as an exhibitor at Milano Jewelry Week, together with a scholarship worth 1,000.00 euro.

The competition organised by CNA Federmoda confirms itself as a great opportunity for students to come into contact with the world of fashion through a main door, that of meeting and comparing notes with professionals in the sector, thanks also to the numerous collateral events organised for young designers, such as lectures, conferences and workshops on topics ranging from communication to technical aspects, from the presentation of new business models to in-depth financial analyses.
