Tuesday, April 4tt Sara Sozzani Maino will give life to a lecture on the discovery of Fashion talents. During the conference, Fashion Design Bachelor’s and Master’s students will have the opportunity to interface with one of the most influent characters of fashion in Italy.
The conversation with Vogue Italy vice director and Vogue Talent’s Head will give the students the knowledge on what it means to be talents in the contemporary fashion industry. The Fashion Editor is constantly scouting new talents thanks to Vogue Talents - of which she is the Head - Vogue Italy projects born in 2009 to scout and promote the new best creative talents in fashion.
The event is on April 4th at 1.30 pm
in Loggia classroom of Temple Leader Palace, Piazza de’ Pitti 15, Florence. The event will be exclusive for Accademia Italiana students
Sara Sozzani Maino
Creative director of the Sozzani Foundation. She collaborates with many educational institutions and is part of boards that work and create awareness for a more responsible planet. She is a member of the advisory board of the Circular Fashion Summit, supporting the UN’s 2030 sustainable development goals.
She currently holds the position of Educational & Scouting Advisor for Vogue Italy after founding Vogue Talents with Franca Sozzani in 2009. Vogue Talents was a worldwide project and network supporting independent creative talents. In collaboration with Altaroma, she curates the competition Who is on Next? in support of Made in Italy. She regularly participates as a judge and consultant in several fashion competitions, including LVMH Prize, Woolmark Prize, Fashion Trust Arabia, International Talent Support (ITS) and many more. Since September 2018 she holds the role of International Brand Ambassador for the National Chamber of Fashion.
In 2019 she launched A New Awareness, a project that aims to create greater awareness for new generations. In May 2021 she received the Positive Change Award in occasion of the Montecarlo Fashion Week.
