Cashmere lives a second life

New project for young designers

Just a few weeks into the new academic year and for the students at Accademia Italiana new challenges are arising. Fashion design students have been asked to create a capsule collection in eco-cashmere for the brand Daniele Fiesoli.
The Prato group, well-known in the area of luxury knitwear, has put no limits on the creativity of the young designers. Each student can propose a sweater or outerwear combined with other materials compatible with the precious knit, already made famous by Daniele Fiesoli.
A yarn that has been considered "eco" as it is regenerated from the cashmere waste of the knitwear industry. A new life is thus given to this precious material thanks to Fiesoli's innovative idea that he is now expanding to gather the new ideas of the young designers. The capsule collection chosen (selection will be done by a jury of experts before October 21) will be produced and presented to the public in January during Pitti Uomo, a perfect launch for one seeking to become a fashion designer.
