Ensemble Academy: the students' fashion show in Piazza del Campidoglio

Rome, July 16, 2024 - The final third-year collections presented on the catwalk in the centre of Rome

For the second consecutive year, ‘Ensemble’, the four-day fashion event organised by the Municipality of Rome and the Lazio Region has returned to Rome to affirm that fashion in Rome continues to work to keep alive its historical vocation for haute couture and to restore the city's centrality in the sector.

A double objective, therefore, for the initiative promoted by Alessandro Onorato, Councillor for Fashion, Major Events, Tourism and Sport of Roma Capitale and Roberta Angelilli, Vice-President - Councillor for Economic Development, Trade, Crafts and Industry Internationalisation of the Lazio Region.

On Sunday, around the Marco Aurelio of the Campidoglio, the protagonists were the fashion designers from schools and academies who presented 190 new fashion creations on the catwalk, proposed by one hundred students.

Accademia Italiana proposed the theme of play, a subject that has always represented a crucial moment in the cultural and social evolution of mankind. A free and voluntary activity intrinsically linked to the creation of meanings and the construction of new imaginary worlds, through the creations of the third-year Fashion Design students.

Special mention also for the students from the course in Jewellery Design who made some of the accessories that accompany the garments on the catwalk.
