Rome, October 21, 2025 - Talent, research, and vision in the heart of the capital
Rome, October 21, 2025
The event, conceived and organized by Monica Cecchini, dedicated to promoting the culture of jewelry in all its most significant forms, now in its fifth edition, confirms itself as an international reference point for goldsmiths, designers, artists, collectors, and enthusiasts. Its mission is to elevate jewelry from a simple ornament to an artistic and design language, an expression of identity and creative research.
The 2025 edition, held in the Jubilee Year, is centered on the theme “Gaudium. The Jewel of the Jubilee”, and reflects on the symbolic value of joy as a driving force for creativity and rebirth. Within this context, Accademia Italiana takes part with a rich program of events, exhibitions, and talks, reaffirming its educational and cultural role as an incubator of new talents in the field of contemporary jewelry design.
The Institute’s participation also reflects its international dimension, which combines artisanal tradition and creative experimentation, fostering dialogue between high-level goldsmith craftsmanship and design research — a synthesis that represents the beating heart of Accademia Italiana’s identity and its vision of a jewelry culture capable of merging art, technique, and innovation.
The main event will take place from October 24 to 26 at the Corsie Sistine of Santo Spirito in Sassia (Borgo Santo Spirito 2, Rome), where Accademia Italiana will be featured with its Jewelry Design students, participating in the Premio Incinque Jewels.
Four students — Claudia Iori, Chae Lyn Kwon, Klara Mattstedt, and Ana Ortiz Juarez — will represent the higher education institute in this international competition dedicated to emerging talents in contemporary jewelry, exhibiting their creations inspired by the theme Gaudium.
Ana Ortiz,The Path of the Soul – A kinetic bracelet that represents the Jubilee as a celebration of inner movement and growth: a sphere encloses a tiny lily moving through two Holy Doors — one from Guatemala and one from the Vatican — symbolizing how every step transforms us, frees our path, and reveals parts of who we are.
Chae Lyn Kwon,Divine Joy, The Veil of Light – This headpiece for the Jubilee year is more than a mere ornament: it honors faith and blessing. A delicate veil of fine thread and luminous beads drapes over the head in sacred light, while gems gracefully descending behind the ears shine with divine grace, evoking a profound joy that resonates within the soul.
Claudia Iori, Intersectio Divina – Inspired by the Jubilee of 1300 and Canto XVIII of Dante’s Inferno, this kinetic pocket accessory narrates the intersecting movement of pilgrims in Rome. Mosaics and moving spheres trace the paths of an ancient, historical, and deeply inner journey.
Klara Mattstedt, Lights of Joy – The ring, inspired by the Jubilee, is topped with a volumetric dome and a semi-transparent plexiglass mosaic. Light filters through the structure, creating reflections on the hand and evoking gaudium, the spiritual joy at the heart of the Jubilee.
