Rome, June 11, 2026 – How can a brand’s identity be translated into an exhibition space?

This was the design challenge that third-year students of the Bachelor's Degree Program in Interior and Product Design were invited to tackle as part of the renewed collaboration between Accademia Italiana and CIS.CO.RVI.

Rome, 11 June 2026

Architect Antonio Petroccia presented a project brief focused on the design of a trade show booth for Hispano Italiana, conceived as a space capable of communicating the brand’s values, identity, and experience. The booth was envisioned not only as a functional environment, but also as an immersive space able to engage visitors through atmosphere, materials, lighting, and visual language.

Throughout the project, students developed a complete design proposal, from the initial creative concept to the technical definition of the exhibition space, gaining hands-on experience with the processes that guide the design of contemporary exhibition environments.

Students also attended a series of lectures delivered directly by the architect, covering topics such as the fundamentals of exhibition design and booth composition; the functions and differences between trade fairs and conferences; the communicative and commercial role of exhibition booths; and the various booth typologies and their components, according to the specific objectives and requirements of each installation.

For a company, a trade show booth serves as a meeting point and communication hub, as well as a “base camp” throughout the duration of an event. It must therefore be engaging, functional, and welcoming, while also helping to increase brand awareness, strengthen market presence, expand professional networks, showcase new products or services, and foster business relationships and partnerships.

All these objectives were addressed in the students’ projects, developed under the supervision of Professor Andrea Nannetti. The students designed exhibition spaces capable of effectively reflecting the brand’s identity, enhancing its products, and ensuring functionality, visibility, and a welcoming experience for visitors.
