The return of high fashion

Jamal Taslaq

Exclusive dresses, for a few women, better still if they are empresses such as the beautiful Wu Zhao, the only crowned head of state in 12th century China, to whom Jamal Taslaq named his latest fashion show held in Rome for the Spring/Summer 2013 collection.

The Fashion Week in Rome AltaRomAltraModa held at the monumental complex Santo Spirito in Sassia, announced the return to high fashion, with Jamal Taslaq much applauded for his floral and animal print tailored dresses, a collection where colour certainly was not missing, inspired in fact by the royal China of Wu.

“The hand work, the personalisation of the dress acquire more value in the world of high fashion, explained the Palestinian  stylist who trained in the 90s in the classrooms of the Accademia Italiana, even if, certainly prĂȘt-a-porter is much easier. The most ambitious buyers are above all Middle Eastern, Russian and Chinese but the Italians, despite the crisis,   can’t resist, demonstrating their appreciation of tailor made dresses.  The germ of my style is certainly Florence, adds the stylist, the city where high fashion was born, where I developed my talents and graduated at the Accademia Italiana in Piazza Pitti.  Those beautiful years spent in that beautiful city, where I hope to return soon  with a fashion show”.
