NEW ACADEMIC CALENDAR 2014/2015

We would like to inform all students who currently attend the academic programs at the Florence and Rome schools, as well as all new students that the next academic year will begin in September 2014 with the following calendar:

Accademia Italiana - Florence
Academic programs recognized by Italian Ministry (MIUR): September 15
International bachelor's degree program: September 15, 2014 and January 14, 2015
One-year intensive diploma courses: September 15
Masters programs: October 1

Accademia Italiana - Rome
Academic programs recognized by Italian Ministry (MIUR): September 22
International bachelor's degree program: September 22 
One-year intensive diploma courses: September 22

HOW TO EARN TWO ACADEMIC AWARDS IN THREE YEARS

Beginning in the 2014/15 academic year the Accademia Italiana will offer the possibility to earn two academic awards in three years. (First level academic diploma recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education and Bachelor of Arts, awarded by Nottingham Trent University, UK) in the following areas: Fashion Design, Design (Interior and product design), Graphic Design, Photography and New Media.
This opportunity is an absolute first - the Accademia Italiana, in fact, is the first and only university level Institute in Italy to offer such a program.
Students who have the necessary pre-requisites may apply. The program involves an integration of subjects from the two courses. Earning both a prestigious Italian degree and a bachelor's from a famous UK university could mean opening the doors to the professional success on an international level for many young designers.

INTENSIVE ONE-YEAR DIPLOMA COURSES

Another new entry for fall 2014: the Accademia Italiana will offer the possibility to attend special intensive one-year diploma programs in Florence and in Rome. These will involve the following subjects:

Accademia Italiana Firenze: Fashion Merchandising, Design of Retail Spaces
Accademia Italiana Roma: Fashion Design, Interior Design

SUMMER COURSES 2014

Florence and Rome headquarters:
Intensive fashion design: June and July
Fashion illustration: June and July
Drawing and Painting: June and July
Basic course in Interior Design: July
Italian language: June, July and August

Only at the Florence headquarters:
Intensive course in Photography: July
Italian Product Design: June 16-July 24
Photographing Florence: June 16-July 24

YEAR END EVENTS 2013/2014

The 2013/2014 academic year-end events this year are particularly important as they coincide with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Accademia Italiana.
The Events proposed (fashion show, design and photography exhibition) will be held on April 17 at the Obihall Theater in via Fabrizio De André in Florence. Again this year, during these events the Accademia Italiana students will award the Pyramid of Excellence to great masters in the field of art, fashion and design. Entrance is by invitation only.
