Andrea Palazzo, an Italo-Macedonian student attending the 5th semester of the Graphic Design program at the Accademia Italiana, won the contest that the Bialetti Design Industry opened to students of the most important design schools in Italy to create a new look for their "Mokona" espresso machine, to be produced in limited edition.

The Accademia Italiana is proud to announce that its student was selected as winner among hundreds of participants by a specialist panel, made up of opinion leaders in the design field. As a prize, Andrea Palazzo will receive a scholarship, and her project could be produced and distributed by Bialetti.

The winning project designed by the Accademia Italiana student celebrates the 150th anniversary of Italy's unification.

Ms Palazzo worked graphically on the "moka" coffee pot, an icon of Italian design, and proposed her project The cities of Italy depicting Florence, Milan, Rome, Naples and Venice.
