PACKAGING AWARD

A packaging project for children’s bandages can lead to a very important award. Amy Renée Gelera, student in the 3rd year course of Graphic Design received a special recognition at the “Amatì design Hotel” in Bologna on November 13. The contest, “Italian ProCarton Young Designers Award”, is  offered each year by Pro Carton, the European association that unites paper packaging industries to motivate the design of new packaging projects in an eco-friendly way.

The awards ceremony was held during the Gifasp assembly, where the Assografici department that gathers together the Italian industries in the field, leaders in the production of foldable boxes and containers. The Accademia Italiana student received the first prize for the Italian section of the contest and was awarded a 3-month internship at the “Lucaprint Group” of Vicenza, leader in the paper industry.
