Department of Liberal and Studio Arts
Both the Florence and Rome institutes have departments of Liberal and Studio Arts.
The department offers various courses ranging from year-long to semester-long to monthly summer courses (Drawing and Painting, Italian).
The semester and year-long courses begin in September and in January and consist of 20 hours of lessons per week in the following subject areas: Painting Techniques, Life Drawing, History and Theory of Art and Sketching Florence.
The summer courses are offered for both 40 hours a month (standard course) and 80 hours a month (intensive course) in June, July and August in Florence and in June and July in Rome.
Italian courses are offered at three levels: basic, intermediate and advanced. Students take a placement test to assess their knowledge of Italian to ensure that they are placed in the class best suited to their level.
The institute offers students a spacious atelier used as an art studio, as well as a library and various electronic and audiovisual equipment.
