MARAMA
Eleonora Beni graduated from the Accademia Italiana in Fashion Design and hasn’t wasted time in putting to use her talents perfected in the school classrooms in Piazza Pitti. And here she is now on the catwalk with an eclectic collection baptised “Marama” that unites different fashion categories: ready to wear, high fashion, sportswear and beachwear.
Marama means “Light” in the Polynesian Maori language, and Marama was the name of her final end of academic year collection. The main idea is that of having a complete outfit to wear suitable for any occasion. Important the fabric research, from the most classic and refined, to those more technical and avant-garde. During the show, “New Fashion Architect” held on 19 January, the profession of architect was emphasised, that as Eleonora Beni underlined, demands an appropriate look. Elegant, practical but also unconventional. And between the exits of the models on the catwalk, also modern dance performances, decisively rock. Lof
