SaloneSatellite: 15 years of opportunities for young designers

From its inception in 1998 as the centre stage for the exposition of innovative design proposals, this year includes the participation of the Accademia Italiana with other design school offering the promising young designers from all the world to have the opportunity to be noted by important designers and talent scouts that each year in April flock to Milan to the Furniture Design Exhibition (Salone del Mobile).

 An unequalled opportunity for 700 young designers, some of whom are already on the road of a glorious career, such as Matali Crasset, Patrick Jouin, Paolo Ulian, Satyendra Pakhalé, Tomoko Azumi, Lorenzo Damiani, Ilkka Suppanen, Nendo, Adriano Design, Harri Koskinen and Xavier Lust, Front. Important names such as Alberto Alessi and Philippe Starck, to name just a few, will be on the jury panel selected to promote the selection of the promising participants.  From 2010, the SaloneSatellite  in support of the young designers, offers them the opportunity  not only to participate  in the competition “I Saloni – SaloneSatellite Award” with their prototypes but also the opportunity to include one or two other pertinent projects  that compliment the International Furniture Show (Salone Internazionale del Mobile), dedicated to the dreams of all young designers eager to express their creative talents.
