Accademia Italiana Rome’s students on the “Altaroma Alta Moda” catwalk
Accademia Italiana Rome’s students on the “Altaroma Alta Moda” catwalk
On July 10, 80 outfits created by the Accademia Italiana’s students from the Rome campus will be displayed on the runways at the monumental Santo Spirito in Saxia complex.
A total of 28 students from various courses working together in teams will demonstrate a combination of creativity and skill this summer at AltaRoma AltaModa, the capital’s traditional fashion week which also provides the rare occasion for encounters with historic Italian fashion houses and exposure to the international market.
The Roman neocouture show will take place at 18.30 in the Sala Lancisi, a magnificent hall in the former hospital painted with frescoes dating from around 1450. This striking setting provides an ideal stage on which the sartorial skills of emerging designers will certainly hold their own. Together with students from other selected schools of fashion and costume, the Acccademia Italiana’s students presenting their creations will include Marco Tunisi (first year in Fashion Design course) and Giorgia Di Simone (first year, Jewelry Design) who have created an outfit in collaboration.
The team of students from the first year of Fashion Design – Eleonora Fiori, Giuseppina Florio, Andrea Lambiase, Camilla Mutignani, Sofia Saggi, Mariya Syrvacheva and Silvia Zuppanti – have worked side by side to create a unique outfit.
The second year students, on the other hand, have decided to create collections in groups. “Alice in Silk Land” is the collection designed by Cristina Parissi, Svetlana Rotaru and Huei Chen. The collection “Simply Regal” is the work of Andrea Bonaccorsi, Kara Ruffo and Alessandra Ercolani, and “Golden Jerusalem” is the collection created by Maya Hadad, Futura Dominique Tendi and Lucia Clemente. The third year students (Viridiana Carota, Carlijn De Jong, Julie Foy, Annagiulia Gianolla, Domitilla Giuliano, Giulia Labombarda, Elena Margiotta, Marilena Marini and Silvia Solazzo) will present a collection of six outfits.
