for the schools of fashion, product, interior, graphic design and photography at the schools in Florence and Rome in preparation for April
Again this year the Accademia Italiana, school of art, fashion and design, will offer to its students the opportunity to participate in the events that will celebrate the conclusion of the academic year, a true international launching pad for creative young designers, that include fashion designers, graphic designers, interior and product designers, photographers.
As always this event will attract an audience coming from all parts of the world, and will be a reference point for new creativity. The common thread of this event, which will be developed in an exhibition dedicated to photography and design and an evening dedicated to a fashion show, will be the theme that has been the focus of research that blossoms into multi-medial projects entitled: "Body & Soul".
This theme, developed in the most diversified and varied manners, includes design projects that range from objects linked to cults religions to the design of spas and gyms. The fashion courses are also expressed through garments that reflect the newest fashion trends while participating in this project with an impressive fashion show that will present 200 outfits.
The students of the photography course, for their part, have already begun immortalizing the images that will be integrated into the set design as well as for the exhibition dedicated to their works. The graphic design project for this event will be done by the students in the course of graphic design who will also participate in the exhibition.
The "Pyramid of Excellence" a recognition given by the students of the Accademia Italiana to those masters who they consider as reference points in the areas of art, fashion, design, cinema and photography will be awarded again this year.
Over the past eight years this prize has been awarded yearly to many greats, among them: Franco Zeffirelli, Gabriella Pescucci, Vivienne Westwood, Oliviero Toscani, Riccardo Dalisi, Carla Fendi, Ottavio e Rosita Missoni, Alessandro Mendini, Elio Fiorucci, Andrea Branzi, John Richmond, Alberto Alessi, James Ivory.
The year-end events will be held on April 26, 2012 at OBIHall, Lungarno Aldo Moro in Florence.
